Covid19 has changed the lifestyle of 7 billion people of this planet. From the habits of touching anything, eating anywhere to sanitizing our hands almost every minute in a day, wearing the mask and maintaining social distancing, we have changed a lot. Scientists are working extremely hard on a vaccine, doctors and warriors are spending the sleepless night for us and so, we also must protect our family, friends and self from this virus by following precautions and measures given by WHO.
Masks are must to have and the most effective thing when it comes to dealing with COVID 19 virus. Studies have proved that even a COVID positive person is talking with a healthy person, both wearing a proper mask, the chances of the virus getting spread are less than 4%. Mask is getting out of stock from eCommerce and shops but the doctors suggest that it is best to make your mask at home because that is much safer. Here are the steps to create a homemade mask at home:
The materials required in the sewn homemade mask are
1) Cotton Fabric- 2 pieces (approx 11" x 7" )
2) Elastic - 2 pieces ( Generally used in Trousers or shoe laces, approx 7")
3) Sewn machine ( Else needles)
4) Cotton thread and Normal Scissors
Steps to be followed:
1) From the cotton fabric, cut two 9" x 6" fabric out. It is prescribed to use cotton T-shirts, bed-sheets or even thin cotton towel. Place the two cut out such that both it overlap each other.

2) In this rectangle shaped fabric, fold the upper and bottom part max 0.25 inches and the side parts 0.5 inches. Sewn all the four sides leaving space for elastic on side part.

3) Now insert the elastic through the space in side parts. If your elastic is very wide then sewn it to make it thick and 0.2 inch wide. After passing the elastic, tie the knot on both sides.

4) Pull the elastic to tighten the mask and then sewn the whole boundary of the mask in the given manner. It will provide strength and locks the open section near nose and chin to block any entrance of virus and dust directly to mouth and nose.
