This pandemic has shown that even after progress, development in science and technology, we are not safe and secure. And the only thing which can protect each other is by working together. Thousands of people have lost their job, crores of children and family across the world who survive on the daily wages couldn't find food for several weeks. Even less than 10 years were travelling 1000+ km to reach their hometown.
While most of the people are packed inside their homes, many people came front and started working 24/7 for those need help, shelter and food. Apart from NGOs, many people choose to work for the needy and quit their lavish lifestyle.
This pandemic doesn't just show us the worst days, but it also is shown as that there are enormous people who are willing to give up their fantasy life and work for others happiness. We are covering those inspiring story to motivate the youth as well as give a tribute to such heroes.
1.Shiv Bansal
Startups like Zomato, Swiggy, BigBasket were working brilliantly in providing home essentials to people living in metro cities. They are taking care of every sanitation rule and people were also satisfied. But in non-metro cities like cities of Bihar, Eastern West Bengal and various other states people were unable to get vegetables. Shiv Bansal when reached his home town Siliguri, he felt the same. Experience of Banglore has given him the idea to start the venture Janta-Delivery. This venture will deliver food items, vegetables, groceries, medicines and every essential item to your doorstep. People living in the extreme outer of the city appreciated this and thus Janta-Delivery got mass orders just through Whatsapp text or phone calls.
2. Chhayaranai Sahu
As mentioned above, this pandemic has mostly affected the people who were surviving on daily wages. But due to nation-wise lockdown and Covid SOP's they were unable to get jobs and also lost almost all their saving in reaching their hometown. Sahu in Odisha observed this and as a farmer thought that it is her responsibility to help these people. While thousands of NGOs were delivering meals, water to almost every state many were not able to reach the most affected outer areas of the city. Sahu thus distributed vegetable produced by her own in her filed to every needy resident in not only her village but in about 15+ villages. She distributed 50+ quintals of vegetable for free, produced in her field from the lockdown till today.
